Size and uses
How do I know my size?
The haramaki is a garment that can be worn over or under your clothes and depending on the time of day and your activity, you may want it to feel looser or tighter.
Our recommendation is to go by your usual clothing size. If you usually wear two sizes of clothing, for example, 38 and 40, choose the smaller of the two options, which in our size guide would correspond to size 2 or size S.
Cotton tends to give way with use and, although it will regain firmness when washed, it will quickly give way to adapt to your body again. Remember that it is not a compression garment but a kidney and abdomen warmer. Its purpose is not to tighten but to support.
We offer 3 children's sizes and 5 adult sizes. To know the sizes of the rest of the products you can consult our Size Guide.
How do you put haramaki on?
The haramaki does not have buttons or zippers but it will adapt very well to your silhouette.
It is best to put it on at the feet, being careful not to force the side seams.
- The narrowest part is above the waist, about 5 or 6 cm above the navel.
- The widest part (where the label with the logo is) is down, keeping the heat in the abdominal area, picking up the lower back or lumbar area.
In the case of the extra-long models that are 6cm taller than the regular model, the haramaki will come under the chest and will cover the hip area a little lower.
In the case of women with advanced pregnancy, it will be much more comfortable to place it over the head and slide it until it covers the entire belly.
Remember that you can wear it under your clothes or over it, in plain sight, to give a different touch to your look.
When is extra long haramaki recommended?
The extra long haramaki adds 6 cm more height to the regular model. It is ideal to wear it as underwear in contact with the skin.
We recommend it if:
- You are breastfeeding. When the shirt goes up, it covers you up to below the chest and the cold does not sneak through the back.
- You are tall and you think normal haramaki may fall short.
- To sleep if you are very cold and do not want your lower back to be exposed.
- You like to wear leggings and you prefer that the haramaki cover your buttocks a little below the hips.
Is haramaki only for women?
No, the haramaki is for those who want to take care of themselves and connect with their body. Its healthy benefits affect both of them equally since, with the exception of the heart and lungs, haramaki embraces the main vital organs, activating blood circulation and improving their functioning.
Here we leave you more information about what a haramaki is, its origin and properties.
Do you have a special Haramaki model for pregnancy?
Yes, we have designed a special haramaki model for the months of pregnancy. In the words of Judit Cámara, acupuncturist and user “the haramaki is a great help during pregnancy to keep the baby warm and cozy and also during breastfeeding because when you lift your shirt to breastfeed, the haramaki protects you”.
To choose the special pregnancy haramaki model we recommend you consult the Sizing Guide as it is the only model that modifies its design and it is not the same in the front and in the back.
What materials do you use?
In all our collections we use natural fabrics backed by the GOTS certificate that guarantees not only the organic origin of the material but also decent conditions for its workers.
We also look for certificates of environmental and social commitment on Life is a hug T-shirts and bags.
The haramakis from the Basic, Reversible and Nature collections are made mainly of organic cotton and contain 5% elastane, which is the minimum necessary for it to recover its shape after washing. This is the same fabric that you will find in the reversible mittens and turbans.
The exception is the Tricot collection, which does not contain elastane and its composition is 10% certified cashmere wool and 90% organic cotton.
In the Sustainability section you can find out more about our commitment to reducing textile waste through our "Zero waste" project.

Of course! Remember to specify when you get to the personal details page of the shopping cart if the "billing address" (yours) is different from the "shipping address" (the address of the person you want to send the gift to).
This option also allows you to receive the package at your place of work or wherever you prefer.
If you also select the option "Gift wrap this item" we will do a special packaging. This option must be selected as many times as you want to send packaged gifts and has a small additional cost.

Where do you ship to?
At this time we ship to the entire Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, Andorra and countries of the European Union.
Can I know how my order is progressing?
Well yes! In the confirmation email of your purchase there is a link from the transport company that will inform you of the status of your order step by step.
If you have not received the haramaki within the expected period, please contact us indicating your order number and date of purchase and we will try to check with the Post Office about the status of your shipment.
What happens if I made a mistake with the shipping address?
If at the time of placing your order you provide an incorrect or incomplete address, the carrier will return the package to us. In that case, you will have to pay the cost of reshipping once we have confirmed the correct address with you.
Since shipping rates are calculated by the carrier at the time of delivery, we may be able to reroute the package to the new address without it being returned to us. But also in that case Correos charges it again as a new shipment for which you will have to pay for it.
What shipping options do I have?
The shipment consists of door-to-door delivery , that is, the orders go directly from our workshop to the address that you have provided us.
- If you need your order to be delivered to another destination you can indicate this when you place your order
- If you need it to arrive as soon as possible we offer an express delivery option which takes between 48h and 72h to the Peninsula and Balearic Islands,
- For other destinations requiring express delivery please contact us to calculate the cost.
How long will it take for my haramaki to arrive?
The average delivery time with standard shipping to the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands is 3 to 5 business days (does not include or deliver on weekends or holidays).
If you need it to arrive in less time, indicate Express Shipping when placing your order. It takes between 24h and 48h to the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands and has an extra cost.
For the rest of Europe the average delivery time is 5 to 10 days.
What if I was not there during the delivery of my order?
Our recommendation is that you use an address where you know someone is usually there during working hours (no delivery on weekends).
Correos will make two delivery attempts on consecutive days. If delivery is not possible, your package will be available for the next 15 days at the nearest Post Office.
In the event that there is an error in the shipping information provided and delivery cannot be made, we will receive a notice. We will contact you to correct the error and activate delivery again. In this case, you must first pay the cost of making a new shipment that Correos applies.
