Size guide

Clothing sizes vary a lot from one country to another, and even from one brand to another. Here you'll find a chart with European size equivalents and body measurements in cm and inches. If you grab a tape measure, in a couple of minutes you'll know which size is yours.

How to read the charts

Each chart has two parts:

YOUR MEASUREMENTS.
Shows our sizes and the range of measurements for each one. You can go by your usual clothing size or measure yourself to find out which size to choose.
SIZE EQUIVALENTS.
A list of sizes and their equivalents by country.

If you decide to measure yourself, do it standing up, relaxed, with the tape measure straight and not pulled tight, on bare skin or over thin clothing.
The image shows the 2 measurements you'll need:

Waist measurement: the narrowest part of the torso, about 4 cm above the navel. This is where the top edge of the regular haramaki sits.
Hip measurement: the widest part, just below the hip bones. This is where the bottom edge of the regular haramaki reaches.

Each range in cm ends where the size stops being comfortable, so the chart already shows you the smallest haramaki size that fits you. Remember that a haramaki isn't a girdle and shouldn't feel tight.

Extra Long Haramaki

It's the regular cotton haramaki, just with a little more length. The same sizes and widths, but 6 cm taller: it comes up almost to the bust and a little further down over the hips.

Who is this model for?
For tall people who feel the regular haramaki is too short. During breastfeeding, to keep the body protected from draughts when you lift your T-shirt. For sleeping, or for wearing with leggings, when you'd like it to stay right where it is.
If you already have a regular haramaki that fits you well, order the same size.

Pregnancy Haramaki

Use your pre-pregnancy clothing size as a reference.
Size 1 if you wear between a 34 and a 38, Size 2 if you wear between a 40 and a 44, and Size 3 if you wear between a 46 and a 50.
The back has the shape of a regular haramaki. The front has more fabric and side elastics that open like a fan as your belly grows. But remember, every pregnancy is unique and measurements don't always change in the same way. If in doubt, write to us and we'll advise you.

Merino wool Haramaki

Wool knit stretches much more than cotton, which is why our wool haramakis come in three sizes instead of five. Choose by your usual clothing size: Size 1 (XS-S) if you wear between a 32 and a 38, Size 2 (M) if you wear between a 40 and a 44, and Size 3 (L-XL) if you wear between a 46 and a 50.

Laid flat, the wool haramaki looks very small: the knit gathers in on itself and opens up when you put it on. The Pure model, in 100% wool, is the stretchiest: it can stretch up to four times its width!

The wool in our products has a high natural fibre content, which means the garment gives with wear but gets its shape back after a while at rest.

Kids' Haramaki

It's better to go by waist measurement than by age, as children of the same age can have very different bodies.

If the size isn't right

No problem, we'll exchange it. You send the garment back to us (that shipping is at your expense) and we send you the new size free of charge. You have 15 days from the day you receive it; at Christmas we extend this to 30 days. You'll find all the information in Returns & Exchanges.
