Composition and fabric
At Happy Belly Barcelona we make our haramakis from GOTS organic cotton and use Oeko-tex dyes to keep our environmental impact to an absolute minimum.
They are 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane.
We recommend washing in cold water or at temperatures no higher than 30ºC. The haramakis can be ironed. Do not tumble dry.
Pattern and cut
The haramaki is a waist warmer that should feel as comfortable as a sock or glove rather than tight like a girdle. It’s just like wearing a hug!
See our size chart in cm to choose your haramaki:
- 8-10 = children aged 8 to 10
- XS = 34 – 36
- S = 36 – 38
- M = 40 – 42
- L = 44 – 46
- XL = 48 – 50
Organic cotton tends to sag with use. If you dobut between two sizes, we recommend you to choose the smaller one.
The haramaki has no buttons, snap fasteners or zips. Pull it on over your feet with the narrowest part at the top, making sure it covers you from your belly button to your hips. Click here to see how to put on your haramaki.
You can wear it under your clothes, or outside to add a distinctive touch to your look.
Wearing your haramaki
You can wear your haramaki throughout the day: while you’re working, doing sport, yoga, shiatsu or tai chi, to sleep in, while meditating, or enjoying some down time at home. Discover all its benefits.
We want every stage of production and shipping to have a positive impact environmentally and socially. That’s why your haramaki has been sewn at workshops in Barcelona that provide employment for women at risk of social exclusion.
Our suppliers are based locally in order to boost the local economy. We try to minimise waste and use recyclable materials. More information
